1/10 Awful At checkin we were handed our keys and informed 'day use' rooms were in the separate annex nxt to the main hotel. Our room was cold and dirty, a layer of dust was on all surfaces and spider webs in the bathroom. The room was very basic and not in any way the standard shown on the hotel details. We had no room service available as we wernt in the main hotel, and we felt we had been put out of the way in an old room that clearnly wasnt oftern used. The bar/food was nice but as we discovered only one member of staff was working, the poor man had to serve, deliver and clear up alone. At times there was a queue of 3 or 4 people waiting to be served, he did an excellent job considering the conditions he was put under, but was struggling with mobility issues and sweating with the sheer workload expected of him. Staff at reception were off and 'snooty' towards day use guest and made a point of saying in a raised voice.... 'your day room use' when i got my key card, no amenities were pointed out to me, or any facilities. All in all over priced for a dirty cold room, poor service and rude management. I will not be spending nearly £100 to visit again.
